Antique Handblown Clear Liqueur Aperitif Sherry Glasses Manganese

A beautiful pair of antique delicate clear hand-blown glasses. They have a geometric etched decoration, snapped pontil marks and slight variations that show their handmade nature. Dating to around 1880–1910, they are ideal for serving liqueurs or as a display piece in a vintage collection In great condition with light signs of age, no chips or cracks The glass contains manganese, which was used in glass production between the late 1800s and the early 1930s, to confirm the date range of when these glasses were made. The manganese makes it glow green in a 365 UV light (not the usual 395), much like uranium glass does in 395, but not as brightly as uranium. The glow picture is taken in the dark - you may not see the glow in bright light. This isn't uranium glass. Manganese isn't radioactive, so it can't be tested with a Geiger counter and these glasses are completely safe to use I package all items very carefully and send them as soon as possible, generally within 24 hours.
